Business continuity and disaster recovery consulting in Nairobi
Power outages, ransomware, fire, hardware failure or the loss of a key supplier can all interrupt operations. What matters is how quickly and reliably your organisation recovers. APOPS Assurance helps you plan for disruption, implement recovery capabilities and demonstrate through testing that they work.
What we do
- Business impact analysis: which processes matter most and how long each can be down
- Business continuity plans (BCP) that staff can follow during an incident
- Disaster recovery (DR) design for Linux and Windows servers, databases and cloud systems
- Backups that follow the 3-2-1 rule, with offline or immutable copies against ransomware
- Recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO and RPO) agreed with management and validated through testing
- Tested recovery drills and tabletop exercises, with a written result
- Alignment with ISO 22301 and with regulator expectations for banks, SACCOs and insurers
Tested, not just written
An untested plan is unlikely to perform as expected during a real incident. We restore production systems from backups in a controlled drill, measure recovery times, address any gaps and provide management with documented evidence that recovery works.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between business continuity and disaster recovery?
Business continuity keeps the whole business running during a disruption: people, premises, suppliers and processes. Disaster recovery is the IT part: restoring systems and data.
How often should we test our recovery?
At least once a year for each critical system, and after major changes. Backups themselves should be checked far more often.
Can you help after an incident has already happened?
Yes. We support system recovery, investigate the root cause and strengthen the plan to prevent recurrence.
